Aero India 2027: Dates, Tickets & Where to Stay Near Yelahanka

Asia's largest aerospace and defence exhibition is back in Bengaluru next February. Aero India 2027, the 16th edition, runs from 8 to 12 February 2027 at Air Force Station Yelahanka, the same North Bengaluru venue that has hosted it for three decades.
If you are planning to go, the decision that shapes your whole week is where you sleep. Yelahanka accommodation is the first thing to sell out and it sells out early. This covers the event, how to get there, the ticket process, and how to think about a stay near the venue.
What Aero India is
Aero India is run by the Ministry of Defence and splits its days between business and public access. The exhibition pulls in global defence manufacturers, air force delegations and government officials. On the public air display days, tens of thousands of Bengaluru residents turn up to watch.
The 2027 edition is expected to focus on indigenous aircraft and defence manufacturing, Indian Air Force combat and aerobatic displays, and international participation across the exhibitor pavilions. It works as both India's main aerospace trade platform and its biggest public airshow.
Dates, venue and timings
The show runs 8 to 12 February 2027 at Air Force Station Yelahanka in North Bengaluru.
The five days are traditionally split, with trade and business days at the start and public air display days at the close. The exact split for 2027 and the daily timings get confirmed on the official portal closer to the event, so check aeroindia.gov.in before you book travel around a particular day.
Aerial displays are usually best in the morning and late afternoon, when visibility is clearest and the schedule is densest.
Getting to the venue
The station sits in North Bengaluru on the airport side of the city. Footfall across the five days is heavy and private vehicle access is restricted, so the last leg needs planning.
Kempegowda International Airport is roughly 15 to 20 km away, usually about 30 minutes outside show-week traffic. Airport taxis and BMTC Vayu Vajra AC buses are the most reliable options.
By train, Yelahanka Junction is about 4 km from the venue, with local services from KSR Bengaluru and Yesvantpur. Cabs and autos wait at the station.
BMTC runs special buses from Majestic, Hebbal and other points during the show. Metro connectivity needs a last-mile cab or bus leg from the nearest operational station, so check the current Namma Metro map before you travel.
By road the main approach is NH44, Ballari Road. Private vehicles get directed to designated parking with shuttles to the gates. Expect queues on public days. Arriving early is not optional advice.
Where to stay
Hotels around Yelahanka face real scarcity during Aero India. Business delegations book multi-night blocks months ahead, which squeezes what is left for everyone else. Three things matter: how far you are from the gates, whether you get a quiet evening after a long day in the sun, and whether your whole group fits in one place.
Le Roma runs three properties in North Bengaluru, and they suit different kinds of visit.
Closest to the venue: Le Roma Grandeur
Le Roma Grandeur is in Yelahanka itself, at Singanayakanahalli, about 6 km from the Air Force Station by road. That makes it the shortest transfer of any property in the group, roughly 15 minutes outside show traffic. It is a 5-star business hotel with 81 rooms, two multi-cuisine restaurants, a sports bar, a gym, a pool and parking for 200 cars.
For exhibitors, delegations and business-day visitors, this is the practical choice. Proximity matters most when you are making the same trip five days running. The hotel also has a boardroom and banquet space, so delegation briefings and client meetings can happen where you are staying rather than across town.
Largest room block: Le Roma Samsara
Le Roma Samsara has 148 rooms and suites across three accommodation blocks, the largest single inventory in the group, on a lakefront estate about 13 km from the Air Force Station. That is roughly another eight minutes on top of the Grandeur run. It suits larger contingents that need to stay together, and anyone who wants the day's noise and heat to end somewhere quiet.
There is fine dining, a swimming pool and lakefront grounds. Groups who book here trade a slightly longer transfer for calm and a room count that keeps everyone under one roof.
Small groups: Le Roma Vista
Le Roma Vista is a 10-room boutique villa with lawns, suited to small parties, families, or a compact executive group that wants exclusivity rather than scale.

Tickets
Tickets are sold only through the official portal at aeroindia.gov.in. Treat any other seller as illegitimate.
The process is the same each edition. Go to Visitor Registration, pick your pass category, enter your details with valid ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN or Passport), pay online and download the e-ticket.
The previous edition offered Business Visitor, General Public and ADVA (Air Display Viewing Area) categories at roughly INR 5,000, INR 2,500 and INR 1,000. Treat those as indicative only. Categories and fees are set fresh each edition and 2027 pricing will go up on the official portal.
DSLR cameras are generally permitted. Security guidelines are enforced strictly and without exception.
Visitor tips
Arrive early, because traffic on public days is the most common complaint and it is entirely predictable. Use public transport or the official shuttles rather than driving to the gates. Carry sunscreen, water and comfortable shoes, since the viewing areas are open ground and February afternoons are bright.
Keep your ID and e-ticket somewhere accessible. You will be asked for both more than once. Follow Air Force security protocols exactly, because this is an active military installation.
And book your accommodation before your tickets. Rooms are the real constraint, not entry.
Planning around the show
February is peak season across North Bengaluru for reasons that have nothing to do with the airshow. It is also the heart of the wedding calendar. Aero India week lands in an already-full accommodation market, and the properties nearest Yelahanka feel it first.
If your trip is fixed to the 8 to 12 February window, secure rooms now and sort out the day-by-day schedule later. Ticket categories can be arranged in a few weeks. A block of rooms in Yelahanka in February cannot.
