Why the corridor matters for a group

A wedding family or a delegation landing at Kempegowda has one decision that shapes the rest of the trip: whether the venue is on the airport side of the city or across it. The four Le Roma properties all sit on the north side. Their published drive times from the airport are on Find a Venue, and each one is the property’s own figure rather than a map estimate.

Everything south of Hebbal adds the city to the journey. That is the trade-off the corridor comparison in the journal works through; this page covers the logistics once you have chosen north.

Ground transport from the terminal

The airport’s Vayu Vajra service is BMTC’s air-conditioned bus link between the terminals and the city, with dedicated luggage space. According to the airport, the buses operate from the mezzanine level of the Terminal 2 multi-modal transport hub with staging at Terminal 1, and accept cash or UPI on boarding. Routes fan out to Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic), Hebbal and the main residential belts; check the current route list before relying on one for a group, since schedules change.

• Bus: Vayu Vajra from Terminal 2’s transport hub; cash or UPI on board.
• Taxi and app cabs: available from the designated pick-up areas at both terminals.
• Pre-booked group vehicles: brief the driver with the venue name, the wave time and a meeting-point photo.

Metro: not yet

The Blue Line of Namma Metro is planned to run from Central Silk Board to the airport terminals via KR Puram, Hebbal, Yelahanka and Bagalur Cross. As of the 7 September 2026 revision of its Wikipedia article it is entirely under construction, with Phase 2A (Silk Board to KR Puram) expected in December 2027 and Phase 2B (KR Puram to the airport) in March 2028. Do not plan a 2026 or 2027 event around it.

Practical notes

• Test the drive at the hour your guests will actually travel; corridor traffic differs sharply between a weekday morning and a Saturday evening.
• Give every arriving guest one WhatsApp contact for arrivals only.
